My Story:
I believe all people are inherently creative. Being alive predicates adaptation, and imagination to simply survive. This belief reaches into my earliest memories, where I found safety in my imagination. As a child I needed play, fun, and safe space for creative spontaneity. Safety and nurturance —mind, body, emotions—are essential in early life development, yet few of us receive these elements. I certainly did not.
My three-decade therapeutic journey has been an adventure in un-learning limiting coping skills, while learning how to take care of my life. Coming to understand that my disorganized development led to disorganized behavior and beliefs in adulthood. Repetitive, daily attempts to feel secure or make sense of reality manifested in my dis-regulated compulsive habits. In such a case, survival itself becomes a creative act, an effort to reconcile our inner world with the outer one. My path toward healing came through 12-step recovery, then working with a gestalt therapist long-term. I’ve come to see that the people I confide in most use their own journey through pain and recovery to guide others. This type of person is sometimes referred to as the “wounded healer”. Far from a being a handicap, if taken care of, wounds can become sacred—an extra sense.

My Approach:
I integrate insights and experiences into my practice, my life at-large. I believe that the creative process is not only a tool for self expression, but the vital pathway unique and necessary to our healing. At Seven Bridges Road, clients are encouraged to reconnect with their inherent creativity, uncover playful curiosity, and find safety in exploring their inner landscape. Whether through traditional therapeutic techniques or the expressive arts, my goal is to help you navigate your own journey of healing— because you don’t have to walk the road alone.

My Style (…clinical, of course)
At Seven Bridges Road, my therapeutic approach is deeply informed by my training as a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) and a Registered Art Therapist (ATR). These credentials guide my use of Gestalt methods, narrative meaning-making, and the integration of creative expression in therapy. I believe in the interconnectedness of experiences as explored in field theory, and I view each individual as part of a larger whole. This means, we focus on your direct experience (memories, emotions, beliefs, challenges) in present moment by using art, music, words, stories, movement, metaphor, gestures to discover and support you in service of moving beyond your current challenge.
